Listen up kids! I am a very happy person today, because today I found out that a band I used to listen to at least every other day, a band that have been rocking since 1983 and are still cool, are bringing out a new album. This band are LA funk rock god’s, Red Hot Chili Peppers.
So! They are back! Complete with new guitarist, Josh Klinghoffer, who replaces John Frusciante. He looks at least twenty years younger than the rest of the band, so he will bring a breath of fresh air and some new ideas with him, which you can already hear in the new, cleaner sound. And it was Josh, who landed the name of the new record a day before the deadline for it was due.
The new album, ‘I’m With You’ is due for release on 26th
August in Europe and the first single from it, 'The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie', is below for you to wrap your ears around. I just love it, and so glad the funk is back, I had to do a little dance to celebrate. Bassist Flea has said of the new work, "it’s just like a very … meaningful and rejuvenating rebirth for us."
